What We Do

Lightwave has formed an alliance with several engineering firms, in order to offer turnkey solutions to private individuals, business, governmental agencies, and Utilities. With this strategic relationship Lightwave Construction is able to provide route planning, engineering, permitting, right-of-way negotiation and acquisition, and construction with cost effectiveness in mind.

ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

Lightwave Construction, dives manholes, prepares AutoCAD engineered drawings for route assignments, and prepare applications for pole or conduit lease agreements. We also do AT&T research to designate the most advantageous conduit path. We have extensive knowledge of Northern California’s existing telecommunications infrastructure.

MANHOLE VERIFICATION AND POLE CONDUIT DRAWINGS

From midspan to butt splices, from ribbon to tight buffer, our crews have the ability and experience to perform this task. Our key splicing personnel have experience working under extreme conditions in short-maintenance windows to perform vital splices. We know how to read and implement any standard fiber splice, testing, and termination drawing. We can breakout cable from large count backbone fiber to provide laterals or subrings service. Using the latest mass fusion splicers and techniques, our work is timely, clean, and efficient.

FIBER OPTIC SPLICING

Lightwave’s crews are well versed in cable routing, installing rack-mount and wall-mount enclosures, panduit, fire-rated innerduct, fire stopping, nema enclosures, and Electrical Magnetic Tubing (EMT). Lightwave adheres to all applicable fire and building codes.

ISP/OSP Construction

With more then 40 years of combined experience in directional drilling, Lightwave’s management team has extensive knowledge. Our experience includes creek and river crossings, wire-line freeway crossings, down-whole-rock-motors, and ordinary drill jobs. We have the ability to place small diameter conduit to large steel casings.

HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING

When directional boring is not an option, Lightwave Construction places conduit and/or cable by trenching. We are experienced in placing utility vaults, manholes, and splice boxes. Our equipment operators are experienced, safety-trained, and drug-tested.

OPEN TRENCHING

Lightwave crews place cable and innerduct in existing duct, and use its power rodder to create a path through old or damaged conduit. Lightwave Construction uses the latest technologies to deploy cable in existing conduit runs in a quick and efficient manner. We have the capability to place cable with our hydraulic pulling systems or for long range situations, we deploy our fiber-blowing unit.

RODDING, ROPING, FIBER, AND INNERDUCT PLACEMENT
